Karen Castor Dentel is the experienced educator we need to fix what they’ve broken. Politicians in Tallahassee have the wrong priorities. We need good jobs and good schools, not tax giveaways to big special interests that force cuts in key school programs and teacher layoffs.

Standing Up for Education
From shifting money from our public schools to private school vouchers, to overreliance on the FCAT, Tallahassee politicians have made a mess of our schools. Karen has been in the classroom Monday through Friday, and so she knows firsthand what’s not working and how to fix it.
The Right Priorities
Karen will make sure that programs that foster art, drama and athletics get the funding they need, and she’ll oppose cuts to afterschool programs because learning also takes place once the school day’s over.
Rewarding Hard Work in Florida
Protecting the middle class and making sure that people who work hard and play by the rules have a chance to succeed is Karen’s top priority. She will work to create jobs in our area, fight to end government waste, and make sure our government works for families and seniors – not for special interests.
